The US-China Sport Center will be launching in Tianjin University of Sport, which was awarded a grant from the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and the U.S. State Department. Partners on this project are the School of Kinesiology located on the Twin Cities campus and Tianjin University of Sport. This program will provide opportunities for Chinese people to learn more about U.S. cultural values.
This Tuesday, Associate Vice President and Dean of International Programs, Ms. Meredith McQuaid and Bejing Office Coordinator Ms. Wanling Qu went to Tianjin to meet with the partners and open the institutional relationship. The center will provide unique opportunities for Chinese students, faculty at the Tianjin University of Sport, and people in the surrounding community to better understand American cultural values.
